Agnieszka Tymula is Professor Tymula is Chief Investigator on the ARC Centre of Excellence for Children and Families over the Life Course, co-Director of the Neuroeconomics Summer School, Director of the University of Sydney Experimental Economics laboratory, elected Board Member of the Society for Neuroeconomics, and elected Executive Committee member of the Economic Science Association.
She combines theory and methodology from economics, psychology, and neuroscience to understand how people decide, why they make wrong decisions, and how to make them better choosers. Her research focused on how economic preferences change over the lifespan and contexts. She have been awarded millions of dollars in competitive research grants and her research is frequently featured in media, including CNN, Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, Time, AFR, Huffington Post, The Guardian, and ABC RN.
