Adam has dedicated his career to enhancing student learning and the student experience and has received numerous teaching awards in the UK and Australia, including four University of Sydney Vice-Chancellor Awards for Support of the Student Experience and Teaching Excellence, an Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) Award for Programs that Support Learning and an Australian National Teaching Fellowship.
He researches student engagement, educational technologies, and curriculum in higher education. In his current role, he is leading the University’s support for enhancing the learning experience for students through the development of collaborative and interactive teaching styles and the technologies that support and enable them. In 2023, this includes leading the University's response to the challenges and possibilities that embracing generative artificial intelligence in higher education will bring.
