DISRUPT – Digital Disruption Research Group

Leadership in the Digital Organisation, a DISRUPT.SYDNEY™ panel session.

This Digital Leadership panel took place on 27 March 2017, 1:00-4:00pm, in the Sydney CBD, and was presented by Digital Disruption Research Group (DDRG) and Sydney Business Insights (SBI).

Why? What? How?

Currently, 90% of executives believe their organisations will be disrupted by digital business models. Yet 70% of them believe they don’t have necessary skills, operating structures or leaders to adapt.

Meanwhile  – the digital divide is increasing. Organisations who have successfully transformed to new ways of working are outperforming the digital laggards.

What is becoming evident, is the role of leadership in successful organisations. Being a digital leader requires more than just implementing technology into your workplace, it requires a fundamental shift in thinking, attitude and mindset.

The DDRG and SBI are joined by speakers Euan SempleSimon TerrySandra Peter, and Anne Bartlett-Bragg who shared their experiences and debated the key issues facing leadership teams in the digital future of business: from culture to technology, from analytics, AI, robotics, automation to new interactive forms of engaging with customers.

Our panelists provided new insights, while an interactive panel format encouraged participation from the audience. The panel was chaired by Professor Kai Riemer, leader of the Digital Disruption Research Group.
