Dallas Rogers

Dallas is an urban geographer with a broad interest in housing, land, real estate and urban development. He writes about the colonial histories of land claiming, public housing, foreign real estate investment, the politics of urban development, participatory planning, platform real estate, and more. His work involves working closely with people and institutions on collaborative research projects. His research is funded by key government and non-government funders.

Dallas is an Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Housing Policy. He served as the Associate Dean of Student Life and Program Director of the Master of Urbanism in the School of Architecture, Design and Planning at the University of Sydney. He was a convener of the Institute of Australian Geographers Urban Studies Group.

Dallas is a practising radio maker and he has written well over 50 opinion pieces for The Guardian, Sydney Morning Herald and The Conversation. He produces radio features for ABC Radio National and receives funding from key media organisations in Australia for his radio work. He writes about podcasting as a research methodology and is the founder of City Road Podcast and the Housing Journal Podcast, amongst others radio projects.
